The Desert
Rose began a beautiful day In May 1979. A day
filled with anxiety, excitement and expectation.
From the beginning all I wanted to do was prepare
and serve the kind of food I liked to eat. Simple,
flavourful comfort food. No mixes, no combined
spices in a jar , no deep frying and as it turned
out, no meat.

All our
grains, flours, and beans are organic and we buy
local, organic produce as much as possible. Everything
but the bread is made on the premises, all our soups,
salad dressings, salsa, quiche crusts, entrees and
of course our desserts.
Come by and eat something yummy. We'd love to see
you. |

Remember, we are not just a "dining
in" restaurant. All of our food is available
for eating at home and we cater events as well...parties,
meetings and family gatherings. Be it a plate
of hors d'oevres, a single dessert or a full dinner.

We have some wheelchair accessibilty (patio
is completely accessible) but we do not have
accessible washrooms.
We are open Wed-Sun. and all holiday Mondays.
We do close in the winter. Please call for
specifics.
Dinner reservations accepted.
Please do call ahead if you are a group of
6 or more.
We do event catering, both in our dining room
